2009 Mechy Awards: Metal Album of the Year

And the winner is...

Ephel Duath - Through My Dog's Eyes

This album was weirdly awesome, as it was a black metal-jazz fusion album, but they didn't seem to integrate the black metal with the jazz. At times it's like listening to two albums at the same time, and other times it's like they're switching back and forth between metal and jazz every 5 seconds, but somehow it still sounds good. It's definitely not an album everyone will like, but I like it a lot.
