And the winner is...Faust - C'est Com...Com...Compliqué
It's impressive when a band that's nearly 40 years into their career can reinvent themselves, and not just by trying to sound more modern, but actually doing some pretty innovative stuff. This is probably only barely in the top 50% of Faust's albums, but half of Faust's albums are better than anything 90% of today's rock bands are capable of making, and in a weak year for rock albums, it's enough for me to consider this the best rock album.
